A Beginners Lash Journey {Classic to Volume}

Hey girlies! I thought I would give a little background into who I am.  I've been a lash artist for a couple years now & as most artists I started with classic and evolved into volume.  I started doing lashes on friends and family (sorry to all the sweet girls that let me practice on you! lol.) Then my training process started with my obsession with Borboleta Beauty and realized there wasn't a day that went by that I didn't admire and love their work.  After a couple weeks I decided to become Volume Certified.  Borboleta Beauty has the best training program, and I learned so much in just a weekend. Here's a walk through the first couple months of my journey, and where I am now.

My first volume set wasn't a walk in the park.  I was shaking I was so nervous.  At least 50 fans broke in my hands before I could even place them. [2 or 3 lash strips were used before I could make a complete fan.] I tell you this because if this is you, it gets SO much better.

The first couple sets and weeks were EXTREMELY hard.  Nothing is more frustrating than having a perfect fan I worked so hard on fall apart before I can place it, or my lash glue drying because I didn't place quick enough.  I think we've all been there and done that!

My first thought after starting was..

"how do these girls make their fans so fluffy?!"

"Why do mine close?"

"Why can't i be as perfect as Erin from Borby?"

After weeks of being overly angry with my fans.. & after staying up late practicing fans on lash boxes, old books, and even mirrors so i could admire the nice fluffs, I finally became better. Here is my first lash set ever, to where I am now.  {Feel free to laugh at my first set}

I'm definitely not perfect now, but I know that everyday and every set I will continue to better my skill.  I love what I do, and I love being surrounded by girls that have felt my same pain, and have walked through using each other as support and able to be there for one another. Being a Lash artist isn't easy and it's always nice being able to hear that this doesn't come easily for everyone.. but if you work and continue to practice it will come before you know it! If you're new and have questions or just want someone to complain to I'd love to be your go to to answer questions or anything at all. Text me!

Thanks for reading!
